Why Fashion: It's only cool in retrospect

School kid aesthetic is one of my favorites. Not just for the actual look which is chic, with a sense of humor, and just kind of cool, but also for the ideas it conjures.

You think of sitting on a playing field talking in a circle laying in wet grass but not caring, laughing hysterically in the hallway, doing something embarrassing in class but it being okay because you can joke about it with your friends when you see them, checking out piles of books from the library and never reading them, weird teachers, moronic comments "those idiots" make all the time, The Breakfast Club and Harry Potter, all of your teachers getting pregnant and leaving and then realizing what that means and getting really grossed out, waking up with a pit in your stomach because you have gym, the awkwardness of growing up with the same people for at least ten years, getting sent to the hallway to calm your laughter.
