LOUIS LOUIS LOUIS LOUIS LOUIS LOUIS LOUIS

Louis Vuitton was a drama of a fashion show. Some people take the opinion that fashion is just about clothes and that the runway shows are unnecessary fluff. But, I hope they call me when they see the tiled black combination matte and lacquered runway, three iron elevators, porters, and hear the Philip Glass music of the Louis Vuitton show, so I can hear their sobs of joy at the beauty and all out glamour of the situation.
The collection was in part an exploration of the many meanings of "fetish". Of course there were the girls handcuffed to their bags, and all the latex, but it went farther than that. Marc Jacobs also wanted to explore the fetish women seem to have with shoes and bags. He said this fetish is "inexplicable", which is true, because it is a feeling. Accessories are like candy: fun, pretty, instead of tasting good they look good. But maybe they're more like a dessert. They finish off a good meal (outfit), are richer, and more substantial and sophisticated than candy, and kind of make you glow when you get the right ones. That aspect of "fetish" is what really permeated the collection. Every look made you think "I WANT THAt", but it also makes you dream.
This was one of the most fun and dramatic runway shows of the past few years (Naomi, Amber, Stella, Carolyn, and Kate. No way to forget that.)
Beyond the fetish concept, I wonder what the rest of the story is. The handcuffed bride or maid walking through a glamourous hotel. What movie is she in? What did she do? Who is she?

Louis Vuitton looks 24 and 25

I'll replace these with the watercolor versions soon. On the edge of your seat, I know.
