I am in love with Rochas and its designer, Marco Zanini, and his collaboration thing with his sister. It makes me want a sibling. Which I never do. I imagine them running around as children in a gray hilly field, with her wearing one of his peasant dresses.
His collections are so juxtaposey. Nostalgic and contemporary, Old Country village yet Parisian.
I really think he is here to stay. He has generated a lot of buzz and sells at Barney's, but he's not too trend-ish, like a boom type phenom brand for ten seconds.
The prints were commissioned by a Swedish artist, Slotts Barbro, and the words on them are quotes from Francoise Sagan novels. I think I read that he kind of went on a sort of "inspirational quest journey" for this collection. Which is spectacular.
It had cool glasses, tights, and big skirts. And blue eye make-up. Really just the cat's pajamas.
